Party, Party, Party

Markay had her 3rd birthday party on the 17th. We had a fun Strawberry Shortcake theme, and about 8 of her little friends were able to come. We played a lot of fun games and had strawberry topped cupcakes & strawberry ice cream. The kids had a lot of fun (although Dannik told me that night that Markay's party wasn't as fun as their friend's Transformer party that morning...go figure).


Okay, so this picture of Dannik isn't at a party, but I thought it was fun. He loves to dress up and play pretend. He put this link-a-do on his ear & brought me one of scarves to tie around his head. ARGH!
Last week we studied Oceans in our pre-school. Since we are nearing the end of the "school year" we decided to take a field trip to the Aquarium. Kieran enjoyed the trip too and had fun exploring and looking at all the beautiful marine life.
Earlier on in the week we were enjoying the beautiful weather before the storms. We had some cakes left over from the birthday party and a friend who came over. We decided to have a tea party in the back yard! It was so much fun to play together and have a nice little lunch (I made finger sandwiches too) in the shade.

Markay singing They Might Be Giants "I Never Go to Work"... "Thursday, it's a Holiday, and Fridays I detest, oh it's much too late on a Saturday, and Sunday is the day of Arrest!"

Dannik: We walked home from church today and passed a neighbor who lives a few houses down as they were leaving... Markay asked, "Why are you going guys?" the lady said, "We have to go shopping." Dannik popped out of his seat in the stroller and said in a very concerned, matter of fact way, "OH NO! We don't go shopping on Sunday!" Guess he is listening.
